2023 Holiday Featured Drinks

For 2023, the holiday drinks launched on Wednesday, November 1.

“Celebrating the season with a variety of innovative drinks is what we do best,” said Tana Davila, chief marketing officer at Dutch Bros. “This year’s lineup is a nod to all the seasonal favorites we love but with a Dutch Bros twist! From peppermint to green apple to festive holiday sprinks, we’ve amped up our offerings to have even more flavor and fun!”

The featured drinks for the holidays are the Holiday Trio, which includes the Hazelnut Truffle Mocha, the Snowcap Freeze, and the Merry Mischief Rebel. The Candy Cane Classics are also featured and include a cold brew, cocoa, or freeze with this flavor profile.

Dutch Bros said the Hazelnut Truffle Mocha, “features Dutch Bros’ signature chocolate milk with hazelnut, espresso, and topped with Soft Top and caramel drizzle. It can be ordered hot, iced or blended.” It’s a popular drink for the holiday season.

The Candy Cane Classics are the Candy Cane Cold Brew, the Candy Cane Cocoa, and the Candy Cane Freeze. The drinks are a combo of chocolate milk and peppermint syrup and are topped with soft top and peppermint sprinks.

The new Snowcap Freeze includes a Cupcake Syrup, soft top, and holiday sprinks. I tried the Snowcap Freeze, and did enjoy it! It was a festive blend of sugar-y goodness. It did remind me a bit of a cupcake, and a bit of a holiday sugar cookie. It did have a bit of an artificial taste, so if that bothers, you this isn’t the drink for you.

As for the Merry Mischief Rebel, it includes strawberry and raspberry syrups and is topped with a green apple soft top. I also tried this Merry Mischief Rebel. I found the colors of it very festive, but the taste was nothing inspiring. The Rebel taste came through easily, and while it was fine, it’s not going to be a go-to drink for me.

Both the Sugar N Spice Oat Milk Latte and the Holly Jolly Rebel are not returning for this season. But, you can still order a Holly Jolly Rebel minus the green sprinks. Just ask for a pomegranate and vanilla Rebel with soft top.

On Friday, November 17, Dutch Bros is launching a limited-time drink, the Chai à la Mode. Just in time for Thanksgiving, Dutch Bros is giving us apple pie in a cup. The drink is made with half chai mix and half 2% milk, as well as vanilla syrup. It’s then topped with soft top and a generous dose of apple cinnamon sprinks.

If you want to save calories on these drinks or are watching your sugar intake, you can order the Zero Sugar Added Peppermint Bark Mocha features sugar-free chocolate, sugar-free white chocolate and sugar-free peppermint flavors, espresso, and half and half. Keep in mind this still has sugar, and is not low in calories. It just has less sugar than the alternative options.

You can also order the Hazelnut Truffle Mocha using sugar-free syrup.

Holiday Cup Design

Image showing all 12 of the Dutch Bros 2023 holiday cup designs.

The design of the holiday cups is always intriguing and inviting. This year’s cup design is inspired by The 12 Days of Christmas. There are twelve different cups, each inspired by one of the gifts in the song.

“Dutch Bros holiday cup designs are always something our customers look forward to each year and we’re especially excited for this year’s designs,” said Charles Swindler, senior vice president of field engagement at Dutch Bros Coffee. “Each cup has a different design and carries a piece of a story with it!”

This is a fun idea, and I’m just waiting for The 12 Days of Dutchmas song to be released!

The twelve “Dutchmas” cups are:

  • 12 Lights a Glowing
  • 11 Penguins Playing
  • 10 Trees a Swaying
  • 9 Treats a Baking
  • 8 Gondolas a Swaying
  • 7 Gnomes a Rockin’
  • 6 Canes a Candying
  • Fiiivee Dutch Windows
  • 4 Snowmobiles
  • 3 Nutcrackers
  • 2 Skating Bears
  • A Camper with a Yetiiii

Sticker availability

For November, Dutch Bros will have a sticker drop on the first Wednesday of the month, November 1st. It’s also the day of the holiday launch!

The November 1, 2023 sticker will be a graphic of a gnome dancing in the snow while holding a Dutch Bros cup. The phrase on the sticker says “Rockin’ Around.”

Flavor combos to try for the holidays

Dutch Bros operates on the premise of flavor combos, which are my favorites for November and December. These can be ordered hot, iced, or blended.

With espresso

The flavors below are best paired with espresso and ordered as a breve or latte. You can have this hot, iced, or blended.

With rebels, sodas, and frosts

These flavor pairings work best with coffee-free drinks. They will help you celebrate the festiveness of the season.

With teas

The colder months and tea go together perfectly. These teas can be ordered hot, iced, or blended.

  • Christmas Morning Chai, which is chai and white mocha.
  • Cinnamon spice tea.
  • Paris black tea.
