Thankfully, Dutch Bros has options no matter what you are looking for. They are one of the best coffee shops for serving no-sugar-added drinks. They also have several drinks fully free of sugar.

Generally, there are two meanings for “sugar-free.” It can mean either fully free of all sugar or that there is no sugar added. For example, many drinks are milk-based, and dairy milk naturally contains sugar, so they aren’t sugar-free but have no sugar added.

Naturally sugar-free drinks

Most coffee shops offer the same drinks that are naturally sugar-free. Coffee and tea.

Dutch Bros also has sparkling soda water, so that’s a nice additional option. In contrast to most shops, Dutch Bros does not have brewed coffee, only cold brew or espresso-based drinks.

  • Americano (hot or iced)
  • Cold Brew (toasted or iced)
  • Dutch soda (sparking soda water)
  • Earl grey tea (hot or iced)
  • Cinnamon spice tea (hot or iced)
  • Citrus ginko green tea (hot or iced)
  • Decaf Ceylon tea (hot or iced)
  • Paris black tea (hot or iced)

If you want any of these basic drinks flavored, check out the list below of sugar-free syrups you can add.

Sugar-free syrups and sauces

To make flavored Dutch Bros drinks fully sugar-free or no-sugar-added, Dutch Bros uses a variety of sugar-free syrups and sauces. These syrups use sucralose to create a sugar-free but flavorful alternative.

Dutch Bros also has a sugar-free version of their energy drink, the Sugar-Free Rebel, which also utilizes sucralose.

Dutch Bros sugar-free sauces:

No-sugar-added drinks

The category of “no-sugar-added drinks” includes drinks that come with dairy milk or a dairy alternative milk.

Dutch Bros uses half & half (they call it Kick Me Mix) as the default milk in most of their standard drinks. That’s why many drinks are called a “breve” instead of a “latte.”

Half-and-half will have less naturally occurring sugar than the other dairy options, so is a good choice. And, if you choose a milk alternative like oat or almond, they will have added sugars.

Dutch Bros “Classic” drinks can all be made with no sugar added. They all come with half & half by default which is going to be the lowest sugar option. You can also ask for them made as a “latte” and you will get it with 2% dairy milk.

For example, the total carbs listed for a medium (16-ounce) hot “Zero Sugar Added Pumpkin Pie Latte” is 26 grams. That includes 1 gram of fiber and 23 grams of sugar. The drink is made with sugar-free syrup, espresso, and 2% dairy milk. The sugar content is coming from the milk.
