At first, a coffee shop might not seem like the best place to take your kids, but Dutch Bros has a variety of options for the younger ones, and they have always treated my kids wonderfully.

My kids often ask to go to Dutch Bros, so I asked my 6-year-old for his favorite drink. He said it’s a mango orange smoothie with whip and birthday sprinkles, or a strawberry soda. Honestly, he changes his drink every time we go!

FAQs

Does Dutch Bros offer kids’ drinks?

Yes, Dutch Bros offers kids’ drinks and even has a specific size and fun cups for the kids.

What size are kids’ cups at Dutch Bros?

Dutch Bros has kids’ cups that are 10 ounces.

What temperature does Dutch Bros make kids’ drinks?

For their cold drinks, they are the same as adult drinks. For hot beverages, Dutch broistas will steam the milk to 100° Fahrenheit.

Why is there so much syrup in some of these kids’ drinks?

Adding more types/flavors of syrup usually does not mean adding more syrup. Dutch broistas will combine the different types of syrups into the same amount that comes with the drink, which is one ounce for kids’ drinks.

For instance, an orangesicle drink with vanilla AND orange syrup will get a half ounce of each syrup, not a full ounce of each.

You can also ask for a 1/2 scoop (ounce) of syrup.

Can kids have a Rebel?

No, it is not advisable. A Dutch Bros Rebel is an energy drink similar to a Red Bull.

Toppings

Dutch Bros has several ways to top off drinks that will keep kids super happy. These are the most popular for young ones.

  • Whipped cream
  • Birthday sprinks (rainbow round sprinkles)
  • Chocolate sprinks
  • Soft top (a whipped-cream type topping that works well on cold drinks)

Type of Drinks

Dutch Bros has more variety of drinks that are caffeine-free than many other coffee shops. This means that you have many options for the younger humans among us.

Dutch Bros promotes drink options as flavor profiles rather than focusing on a specific drink. For instance, you can order a “Unicorn Blood” soda, frost, or steamer and all would contain the same syrups — strawberry, white chocolate, and almond.

If you are worried about sugar content, Dutch has a wide variety of sugar-free syrups, including vanilla, caramel, and strawberry. Or you can order half syrup. I have more details in my low-carb Dutch Bros guide.
